An asshole, their tendencies, abilities, etc are easily taken in (and expertise gained) over a very, very short period of time. Goodall took a good, long time learning about the primates.

Might be that...hmmm...there was more to learn/understand from primates than the typical asshole.

You are correct, you really don't know her very well at all. I, on the other hand, had the honor of speaking with her at an invitation-only symposium on animal welfare at Harvard University several years ago, where she was a featured speaker.

Far, far from being "slow," Jane is an absolutely brilliant, wise and compassionate woman. I hope you also have the opportunity to meet her someday.
