I think my hearing is becoming more acute
I've done all I could over the years to protect my hearing- during all the years behind lawn mowers. weed eaters, and sundry other power tools I never failed to use hearing protection, and I've never been one to crank up the volume beyond a reasonable level while listening to tunes. Indeed, it's been my practice to use good stereo headphones for music and TV for a long time.

Suddenly I find myself turning down the volume more and more, while the music and DVD movies seem to get louder and louder. It's getting to the point where I'm turning the sound WAY down just so I can enjoy it.

All this in spite of the fact I take aspirin-laden pain pills, a side effect of which is tinnitus (ringing in the ears). My ears are ringing even now, but I've still turned the tunes down twice in the past few minutes.

This is a real thing- I know very well at what level the volume knob is usually set at, and it's WAY below that right now.

I guess I'm not getting older, I'm getting better!
