Ever see a stranger who looks like you?
You're in public somewhere and you see someone and think "hey, that person kinda looks like me."

I saw someone at the library yesterday that I thought looked like me about 15 years ago.

It's kind of a strange experience. I don't like it.

1. Yes. 1966 Hollywood CA. Friends told me about a guy they had seen at a
club that they thought was me. Said he was a dead ringer except for his hair color. A few days later the guy showed up at a party I was attending. It was like seeing my twin. His name was Mike Jones and he was from Columbus, Georgia. I was from Columbus, Ohio.

3. No not really. But I've had lots and lots of people come up to me
and say that I remind them of somebody ELSE. I've even had people come up to me and call me by a different person's name. It's weird. I agree with you.

:hi:

5. I met my doppleganger last year in Pittsburgh.

Same height, same build, same hair, same face...

We passed each other at a trade show, stopped and stared for a while. Until we shared some history, we were both a little concerned that our parents had some explaining to do. It was freaky though.

7. YUP!
IIRC it was on 6th Ave. in Manhattan. The woman could have been my TWIN. I spotted her first, she looked at me feeling my eyes on her. We both stopped dead in our tracks, staring intently at each other for a good minute and then, without exchanging a word, continued walking. I have freckles across my nose. She didn't.

10. Yep, at a transcription convention in New Orleans a few years ago.
She was a very popular lady, because strangers kept coming up and hugging me and exclaiming, "It's so nice to see you again!" We finally met at a banquet the last night we were there.

It was extremely weird. We had the same hairstyle and even dressed similarly. I wish I would have had a chance to actually compare notes with her since we could very well be related. But that's another story.

When I first moved to this city, I was often mistaken for someone named "Ramona".

I wonder if we still look alike, 17 years later...

12. She worked in the same office as me but only part-time
It was odd how much we looked alike, even though our nationalities were different. I'm Irish and she was Spanish. Her complexion was more olive than mine but our features and the shape of our faces were very much alike.

13. I was in a department store and saw a person who looked like
me. Went closer...it was a mirror. Time for glasses I told myself. However, I've had other people say they saw me someplace I never was.

14. Wouldn't it be something if you saw a person who looked like you
only to find out later you and your twin was adopted, or worse yet, your twin was adopted because the parents couldn't afford two kids. I'm sure it must've happened.

17. My doppleganger used to be a chorus director at one of the high schools here
People would come up to me on the street to compliment me on the last concert. I would always let off a string of four letter words and tell them how I thought their daughter was really hot. Tee hee.

28. There was a guy in my high school, one year younger, who was my spitting-image.
He was banned from nearly every nightclub in Niagara Falls New York, too. I couldn't go into any of them!

20/20 is going to do a story about this on Friday night. About a photographer who find unrelated people who look alike. Some are men and women who look like twins too. Unreal.
