3. I never understood that phrase.
IIRC, goofballs were barbituates, right? Those are depressants, so wouldn't "hopped up" be a hell of a misnomer?

4. It was 50s slang (used mainly by white dads) to refer to getting high...
 Those WASPs had NO idea what goofballs did to people...

6. OK, that makes sense.
The phrase always did have the ring of "clueless person trying to talk about drugs" to it. I suppose perhaps goofballs may have become a slang term for barbiturates later, ha ha funny ironic wastoids. :D

25. Back then I'd wear an onion on my belt
It was the fashion at the time.
I used to be with it, but what I'm with isn't it anymore and what's it now is weird and scary to me.

But my real favorite is Ralph Wiggums.

29. The Flying Hellfish episode
secured my love for Grampa. I had it (along with several other favorites) recorded a long time ago and, due to my overuse, I wore out the damn tape.

18. Two!
Only it wasn't goofballs but a bottle of ethanol from my parents' bathroom. My mom says I was pretty trashed and looking to party, but she just fed me a bunch of Gerbers to take the edge off
