2. I knew somebody once in college whose name was "Indigo"
he was pretty cool....

Have you heard of the "Indigo Children"? It's a new age term..Hmmm...I'm not quite sure what to think about them, but it's a bit intriguing, nonetheless.

3. oh god yes
I've heard of "indigo children". It's a term used to describe normal children whose parents are totally deluded into thinking they're special.

17. Here's what makes them special:
Here's what the folks who wrote the book on these little treasures wrote about the Indigo children (taken from Wikipedia):

<snip>

* They come into the world with a feeling of royalty (and often act like it).
* They have a feeling of "deserving to be here," and are surprised when others do not share that.
* Self-worth is not a big issue; they often tell the parents "who they are."
* They have difficulty with absolute authority (authority without explanation or choice).
* They simply will not do certain things; for example, waiting in line is difficult for them.
* They get frustrated with systems that are ritually oriented and do not require creative thought.
* They often see better ways of doing things, both at home and in school, which makes them seem like "system busters" (non-conforming to any system).
* They seem antisocial unless they are with their own kind. If there are no others of like consciousness around them, they often turn inward, feeling like no other human understands them. School is often extremely difficult for them socially.
* They will not respond to "guilt" discipline ("Wait till your father gets home and finds out what you did").
* They are not shy in letting it be known what they need.

<snip>

Hmm, I can think of another word for kids like this: "teenagers."

9. indeed
it's a beautiful color - but it's made up.

Roy G Bv didn't work, so they added a vowel-started color.

And why isn't purple in the spectrum?

14. Turquoise - Blue + Green. Indigo - Blue + Violet (AKA purple)
There get to be some weird names when you combine 1 primary and 1 secondary color.

Marigold, Turquoise, Chartreuse, Indigo, etc...

15. "What's 'in-DIE-go?" At the Toyota dealer service department, the . . .
. . . service rep called for my car, "the in-DIE-go 05 Corolla." Then she hung up and asked me, "what's in-DIE-go?"

A Toyota service rep. I bought the car there. :eyes:

21. Striking difference.
Blue is a dogs name and Indigo is a name for a hippy girl in the 60's. Hope that helps. Violet is also a womens name. Green is generally a spy's name or an authors name.
