I'm not done digesting it -- I thought it was great.

Sawyer was very lonely at the end, looking around at the other couples on the island reliving the adventure with the VW. He wanted to share with Kate -- it was very sad. And wasn't he teaching Jin to say I'm sorry? His character is really evolving since the sex in the cage.

Was the flirting with disaster the course correction that Charley needed?

Just what the show needed, quite frankly. As much as I LOVE LOVE LOVE the mythology and the Others'/Dharma stuff, this provides the show with the heart it needs. It makes you love the characters all the more.
