Wow, so I just watched that Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader show...
are people really that stupid? Although it explains a lot when you think about how Bush got elected president...twice... :eyes:

1. Bzzt! He didn't get elected the first time, and probably not the second either.
Remember that. Even friends of mine from Texas love to say it now. "He never got elected in the first place!"

The more people go around saying this truth, the less legitimate Bush seems.

4. Adults are stupid.
The kids are smart now, but when they get older, they'll become as numb and stupid as the adults are.
As children, American culture has just gotten its hooks into us, but has not fully broken us.
These adults are broken, eventually the children will be too, just like them.

Saw a program where a man went around asking adults questions on the street, and got some mind-numbingly stupid responses. The best was when the man was telling people that Bush had said that we needed to go to war with some country in Asia that noone has ever really heard of (Uzbekistan or something of the like) :P
But people just blindly accepted that. 'oh, there are terrorists there? Then we better go and get em.'

It's all so tiring.

6. Well, as I said, you'll only be more depressed if you think about how...
25 years down the road, those kids will be every bit as ignorant as the adults are now.
mankind is a broken thing.

7. My favorite/most depressing moment -
the U.S. History major from UCLA, who believed that the first U.S. president impeached was...JOHN QUINCY ADAMS!!!! :grr: :grr: :grr:

At least all 5 kids got the correct answer (Andrew Johnson)!

If it was just an "average person" off the street, and they had said Nixon, I would have been like, "yeah, typical clueless drone, votes for Bush because he'd like to have a beer with him, yadda, yadda, yadda", but dude, you're a history major!

9. It comes on here in a few minutes.
Have you ever seen "Jay Walking" on Leno? Most of the answers are jaw-droppingly stupid!

10. I think they must have deliberately screened the adults
for the stupidest people they could find. Probably fun for kids to watch, though. BTW, I am as smart as a 5th grader.
