3. My dear graywarrior!
Who would dare put a slave bracelet on you?:grr:

That is so wrong on every level!

However, having a cell phone is very cool........

I have one, and even though I don't use it too often, it can be useful from time to time!

6. Sometimes it's a blessing to have one,
but other times it's nice to be unreachable. I make sure that 5k people have working cell phones and blackberries at work. It was only fairly recently that I broke down and started carrying a "slave bracelet" myself. It's a bit of a shame that they're becoming a necessity.

8. My dad & I had a double blowout recently
My dad (he's a former state trooper and 75 years old) picked up my pug and I at my house (he was coming from a job he was doing) to go visit my mom and grandmom. Two tires blew out at once on the way. His cell phone got us hooked up with AAA, and he was able to renew his membership...within 2.5 hours, we were on the road again like nothing had happened. The place where the car was towed, treated my dog like she was the Queen of England...

Cell phones are wonderful for emergencies!

9. Yeah, that's kinda why I got one.
I was in an area that kinda creeped me out and I coulda used a phone to guide me out of there.

11. They are handy!
When I saw my ex-cop dad using his cell phone to get us out of a bad situation...I've had one for a long time to make long distance calls, but now I realize how convenient they are in an emergency. BTW, the pug was totally game for getting loaded up on a tow truck (the driver wouldn't let her in the cab, she had to ride in the towed car)...she made me proud!

I'm yucky on technology myself...but there are benefits!

10. As a mom of two kids, they are quite useful.
it's really a safety issue, as far as I'm concerned. Yes, it's weird at first, getting used to having it, but you'll get accustomed to it soon enough....trust me.
