Does anyone know anything about collectible figurines?
I found this in my attic and I was wondering what it is. It is labeled as "Green Thumb" on the bottom and is about 6" tall. It looks like a Hummel, but there is no Hummel markings and the Google didn't turn up anything when I searched for those words. Any ideas?

1. I don't know if all Hummels are marked. You want to look it up.
I just did & here's a page on their marks:

2. No such markings
And nothing that looks like the figurine in their catalog. All that's written on the bottom is "Green Thumb" and the number 1110. The writing appears to have been applied by hand.

3. Did you try eBay?
It sure looks like a real Hummel. Maybe you could find a Hummel dealer over there to ask.

5. I checked in my 1995 Hummel price guide and don't see anything called Green Thumb in the index..
Hopefully someone else will be able to identify it for you..

6. I haven't been able to find it.
You may want to ask someone online at a collector's site.

8. What does the mark on the bottom look like?
I think that if it's the little bee in black it is a very good one....if the mark is a green bee I think it's newer.

9. It could be a so-called 'mock' Hummel...
Those can sometimes be valuable as well.

10. Are there any marks on it
beyond the "Green Thumb" and the number 110?

Look here for Goebel marks

11. Also...
A site about Hummel copies, some names of those who made copies, and an email address where you can ask about the piece you ahve (include a photo if you can!)

14. I would market it as a "Hummel-like figurine"...
...just as long as you state clearly that it's not actually a Hummel. But it's definitely meant to mimick that style.

15. Does anyone know anything about collectible figurines?
If it's a true Hummel, "Hummel" will be incised in the porcelain.
