So, I go to visit Das Ex this weekend

Six days at a ski resort. Should be a good time. I'm looking forward to seeing her as we haven't seen each other for six weeks. Which is the longest since she left town. But, we've also been cutting off phone contact as best we can... we only speak once a week unless we have something specific to talk about. Sigh, I'm not waiting for her (I am dating) but I wish she would get her head together so we can be together ASAP :argh:

At least this weekend they'll be some nice snuggle time by a fire after a day out in cold weather and what not. That'll be good for the soul. MMMM snuggles

She seems to be not pursuing it like she said she would. That really has me upset. I made a deal with her that I'd pursue the therapy I've been planning on doing (For my OCD) if she does this. She said she would. ANd she keeps her word. So, I go to my doctor tomorrow.

11. From personal experience I have learned this:

She will never really want to come back as long as you have this enormous "comfort zone" for her.
There is no reason to change or be different; no matter what she does or how far she pushes you away you are
always there and she knows it. You may date other people but your heart isn't in it. Your holding out for the day
she comes back. That isn't fair to either one of you... you because your putting your life on hold and her because
she cant guarantee that she ever will come back. What if this goes on for 5-6 years? Are you prepared to wait?


I'll end by saying I've been there & it ain't pretty.
Things often don't turn out the way you dreamed they would.
If I could do it again I wouldn't be so wishy washy and I would have moved on.

16. Well, to be fair - I dumped her after she dumped me

We did the "comfort zone" thing for a bit. Then I told her I couldn't do it as it was too hard and said I wanted to see other people. I also did it because I know she needs to feel that I'm not waiting for her as it adds stress to her life. But, I do need to keep up with her because I'm all she's got. She's not needy, it's my choice.
