This is one song that comes back to eat your brain just after you think you've gotten rid of it. I heard it again today when doing some food shopping. I damned near went insane trying to get a good spot where I could hear the name of the song and the band that sings it. As usual, I didn't succeed. Now I'm going to have this tune eating me alive for another 4 months.
Song is old, probably early to mid eighties. Kind of a pop/soft rock tune on the idea of Ambrosia or some other band like them. Tune still appears on the radio every now and then. Have no clue as to the name of the band, one thing I do believe is that the group was a one or two hit flash that was never heard from again. I think the title of the song is "Slipping Away" or "Slipping Away from Me". I have used that title on Napster and Itunes but no luck. Here are some lyrics
Your alibi is watertight And you're where you say you are tonight But Honey I can tell I know the pattern much to well I know you're slipping away from me
Anyone is more than welcome to have a good laugh at my expense considering this is such a syrupy pop tune. If I don't get rid of this earworm, my next residence will be a rubber room and my wardrobe will be a selection of straight jackets. Please Help !! :yoiks:
