Unfortunately, I expressed my love in destructive ways.

I'm sorry, Michael.

because Kindergarten was simply my first chance to kiss (frightened) boys.

18. Bruce L, who lived next door.
He was my age, and lived next door for 10 years (until my family split up and we moved away). I've never seen him again, although I heard that he joined the Navy, got married, and is currently living somewhere in California. It's funny and sad to think about him; when I was growing up, we never "dated" but we had a connection nonetheless. I always thought that we'd get married someday, when we were both grownup. Life never seems to work out the way you think it will when you're young.

She lived across the street from me and was beautiful. She moved away the following year.

26. Ringo Starr...
When I was four years old. :) I went with my older sisters to see "A Hard Day's Night" and just though he was the cutest guy I had ever seen. We all shared a bedroom and there was a poster of The Beatles on our door -- before going to be each night, we would each kiss our favorite Beatle. :D When "Help!" came out, my crush continued -- even today I find Ringo playing the drums in that field in his green suit and hat adorable.

And I still have a very serious thing for guys with British accents.

Gorgeous boy who'd just moved to Vancouver from somewhere in Africa... I don't remember where. He was beautiful, very intelligent and good hearted. If I'd stayed in Canada I probably would have had a crush on him still.

on edit: I think I was eleven.

the biggest, bluest you have ever seen.

eyelashes so blond and long -- that boy was a beauty.

he played little league -- and was good at just about everything he did.

there's more to the story -- that happened many years later...
