What music has scared the (bleep) out of you, and still does?
(I mean music that is supposed to scare you.)

To me, B. Herrman's score from "Psycho" always tops my chart.

Music from the EXORCIST...gives me nightmares.

2. Ravel's Bolero

It's supposed to be a sexy piece of music, but it makes me paranoid, like someone is coming to kill me.

It's not really a traditional bolero at all; Maurice Ravel originally wrote it as a martial (war) anthem.

The movie isn't all that scary, but the music always had the desired effect.

5. It doesn't scare me much

but I play the spooky sounds from Pink Floyds Meddle outside on Halloween night and that has an effect on the trick or treaters. The black lights and florescent tombstones and such contribute to the overall, uh, stuff.

8. Theme from Dr. Who used to terrify me,

now it's one of my favorite pieces. Gotta love the dark stuff.
