Yeah, they're called 'designer' dogs
and idiots are paying anywhere from $350 to $1000 for a mutt you could get at the shelter for $75...already spayed/neutered, with all shots, a microchip and a coupon for a free first vet visit.

12. no, just assuming.
my daughter has a mutt that she thought was half rott. she was looking forward to a nice, staid, steady dog. turns out the dog is probably half dobbie, half pointer. uncontainable dog. sweet, but cannot sit still for 2 seconds. just a little bit of hunting dog, and lookout.
perosnally, i am sort of opposed to working dogs being made into companion animals, unless the persons lifestyle has an outlet for the dogs instincts. i think labs and goldens have been nearly destroyed as breeds. sweet pups, taken advantage of.
