Well, I just quit my job as of 10 minutes ago....
Called up one of the partners at home and told him that I quit and don't call me back.

It's a new day tomorrow for me and my trusty dog. Me thinks Californy is the place I ought to be....I may drive over this weekend and start interviews on Monday.

There is a point where you can go along for so long, but then when you think a new low has been reached, they surprise you.

I'm gonna keep that "I just quit and don't call me back" line in reserve for future job miseries.

11. I could tell you, but there would be parts that people would not believe.
It also would be long. If you want to really know, I will tell.

10. thanks for all the kind words. I am looking at places in California that need
landscape architects. I am also looking forward to living there, and I do not have anything lined up, so I am just winging it right now.

Things will be fine, and hopefully I will be swimming in the ocean in a month. San Diego, Los Angeles, it all sounds good.

Wish I could go. :( I miss LA!

There's so much opportunity there, especially in your field... you should have no problem finding something. Congratulations on your gutsyness! Sounds like a grand adventure awaits you.

20. Congratulations!
It sounds like you've made a good decision. Knowing when to make a change is a risk worth taking, imho. Don't forget to check out the central coast. Lots of new building going on here - and from what I've seen, a landscape architect with some original ideas on coastal organic gardening would be a blessing!
