Thank you, NPR!

[NightTrain]

This afternoon, from 2:00-4:00 Eastern Time, NPR pre-empted its regular line-up to bring its listeners a 2-hour debate between six of the nine Democratic presidential candidates. The broadcast originated from radio station WOI in Des Moines and featured Kuncinich, Gephart, Moseley-Braun, Kerry, Dean, and Lieberman.

Although I didn't learn a whole lot about the six candidates that I didn't already know, I still was grateful to NPR for this valuable public service. If the network aired more programming like that debate, and less stuff like "Marketplace," I might just become a regular listener (and contributor) again!
