"MY HUSBAND IS PLANNING AN ACCIDENT"

Jan 6 2004

By JANE KERR, Royal Reporter

PRINCESS Diana believed Prince Charles wanted her killed in an accident when she was plagued by anxiety and feared for her safety.

She told of her worries in her now infamous note which she handed to butler Paul Burrell as "insurance" on the day she wrote it in October 1996, 10 months before she died in a Paris car crash.

Burrell censored the note when he disclosed its existence in his book last year by blanking the words "my husband" from the text.

1. Under normal circumstances, the spouse or..............
significant other, is always questioned about the death of the partner. Why should PCharles be any different? Especially when so many believe that he might, or others, be somewhat responsible? Especially when even the Princess felt in danger.............

I mean for a 'princess' and all you'd figure she would have been made to work on her calligraphy when she was younger.

BTW, ringmastery, congrats on your 420th post!!!

What a drama queen, is what I'm thinking. What a cruel thing to do, knowing you are a princess and such a note was almost certain to fall into the wrong hands. And there is always the chance, no matter how remote, that you might actually be in an accident, and cause all sorts of trouble for the innocent. You know, I was guilty of writing a similar note, but I was 14 or 15. She was supposed to be a freakin' adult!

Diana died in a drunk driving accident with an unsympathetic person she was likely going to marry to keep herself in money and celebrity. Boo effin' hoo.

I'm sorry if I sound cold but this is just wrong in my most humble and benighted opinion.

If Charles was going to kill her, he would have done it before they divorced in order to preserve his position. Please. He had nothing to gain and everything to lose in terms of public sympathy by having her die when she did.

9. I get so f***ing sick and tired of
hearing about the powerful and privledged and all of their trials and tribulations. If they want sympathy from me, let them try working at McDonald's for $6.00 an hour.

8. The Mirror???
Eh, the Royals are only good for tabloid fodder anyway...strip their titles, take their money and divide it up amongst the poorest people in Great Britain.
