Help: Popups are back on my computer!!!
On my old computer I had google's popup blocker, which was 99% effective. I intstalled it into my new computer, and it does not seem to be working very well now. Does anyone have any ideas?

1. I use Pop This!
Works great on win2000, google for it, you'll find it -- it's freeware

5. Adware
Get these two programs - update & run both.

http://www.lavasoft.de (AdAware)
http://security.kolla.de (Spybot Search & Destroy)

Adware/junkware will deluge you with pop-ups. These two programs combined will take care of nearly all of it. Run them regularly, and use Spybot's "immunize" feature to help prevent future problems.

6. Try Pop-Up Stopper
the basic version is free and you can turn it on or off with one click. Here's the site: http://www.panicware.com/process_download.html?prdid=PSPRO
AdAware & Spybot are great, but they won't stop pop-ups.

7. Get a Mozilla browser and you'll never see a pop up again.

8. I will also recommend Mozilla.
I've been using it for almost a year now - NO popups. It's a little different than IE, but not hard to get used to.
