Who's got media interview tips for a Dingbat?

Yes, someone's interviewing me. Anyone have any broad-stroke advice? Besides mints, I got that covered. ;)

1. Is it for TV or print?

Makes a difference.

Assuming print:

Find out what they're looking for - snappy quotes? leads? in-depth info?
Ask for the deadline - do you have time to check facts?
Don't blather. Answer the question and stop.
Do you know the reporter? Their bias? It can be helpful.

In my experience, I've never been interviewed where they got everything right. It happens. Relax.

It's a print guy who's coming out to see, basically, if I wear my tinfoil hat shiny side in, or shiny side out. :) Seems like a good guy, I expect it'll be pretty informal; at some point I'm taking him out dogsledding. :shrug:
