I have dreamed, for nine months, of having a thread that is ablaze with responses. I've watched as other threads burst into flames while mine just drifted away into the annals of the archives. I was hoping, for my 1000th, that you, the geniuses that are DU--would give me my first flamer.

So, even though my 1000th post passed without notice sometime between yesterday and today, could you help a poor DUer's dream come true? All it takes is a kick or two.
