What should I write my editorial about?

I edit a magazine serving the commercial cleaning industry. I have to write my Editor's Note (400 words or so) about a topic relevant to the industry. I am drawing a blank.

Ground rules:
1. I can't write about national politics, for conflict-of-interest reasons.
2. Most of my readers are Republicans, anyway.
3. The cover story this month is about a reader survey. Readers are optimistic about 2004, and expect their margins, income, accounts and the economy all to improve. I usually write an editorial about the cover story. I don't have to. If anyone can think of
4. If I try to write objectively about an issue where I have a radically different opinion from my readers -- such as minimum wage increases, overtime or really anything -- I end up over-correcting myself and coming off sounding like Pat Buchanan.
5. The first draft of anything I send generally gets vetoed by the boss anyway.
