Is this a good excuse to kick his ass?

Even flesh-eater and vegetarians get a bit alarmed about carnivorous companion animals being fed an inappropriate diet. Dogs can do well on a vegetarian diet since their digestive tracts can deal with an omnivorous diet, but obligate carnivores like cats suffer and die on them. Now, I have no doubts at all that original subject treats his companion extremely well and feeds him (her?) an appropriate and healthy diet and my reply is not meant to impugn him in any way, but I also understand the follow-up poster's concerns.

I've always wanted to be a hippie, but never really had the chance. Also, not many hippies listen to hip-hop, reggae, r&b, soul, jazz, merengue, and salsa....or maybe I'm incorrectly stereotyping.
