This Barnes and Noble has the worst intercom music ever
...vanilla jazz arrangements of 40s standards. :eyes:

...and I used to work here.

If my job hadn't already done so.

We've had customers complain about it - it's loud, for one thing, and some of it is just plain strange. It's some in-house loop (there are several to choose from but I've heard all of them at least a brazillion times) and it's loud, obnoxious pop crap for the most part. Whoever chooses it must never actually listen to the lyrics because there have been some (IMO) rather inappropriate songs (can't remember what they were offhand but sexually explicit or offensive).

A lot of my co-workers can tune it out but I've never been able to master that art.
