Being a sister, this is going to be something to see. I have always been a fan of his hairstyles and its raining like mad at Dolphin Stadium. :hide:

1. They wont have a covering over him?
I guess CBS doesn't have to worry about a wardrobe malfunction this year, do they?

7. They figured out how to ground the chassis of the amps a few years back.

Nevertheless, his guitar is wireless. It's also way up front on Let's Get Crazy, which is a good idea. Playing a good old Tele. Nice!

Edit: spelling

10. Electric guitar looks to be wireless
They did it at Woodstock 37 years ago...I'm sure technology has advanced just a wee bit since 1969

19. Fun amp facts!
Back in the days of Woodstock, the amps did not have three prong power cords. They had two prong, non-polarized plugs and one side of the AC line was connected to the amp chassis through a .1/200v capacitor. If the amp hummed, you simply turned the plug over or flipped a switch on the amp (if so equipped) that would chane which AC line was connected to the chassis.

Here is the problem: If your PA was a two prong deal and it was plugged into the wall in a manner opposite to how the amp was you could get a nice 120V shock when holdin the guitar as you got close to the mic.

Folks got hurt with this stuff. Just about any old musician will have a story about this.

Whenever I work on an old amp I remove the "death cap" and add a three prong power cord.

Single coil at the neck, humbucker at the bridge. Pushed way up front in the mix again.

15. Purple rain, how fitting
I love Prince...couldn't help but think if he was a little worried about all the electrical stuff he was standing on and handling in that pouring rain. I saw some smoking from the stage, hopefully it was supposed to be there.

26. I just watched it on YouTube :)
That had to be so damn cool for the Florida A&M University Marching Band to perform with Prince. I don't think anything could top that for those students. If I was one of those band members I would be so hyped up. Good job for those kids :)

25. This is truly why YouTube is a gift from God.
I'm sure you'll be able to find it on YouTube. The show was awesome. The Purple One was incredible and looked amazing--as he has since he covered the walls of my bedroom in the 80s.
