My ideals for 2008 election: GOP offers Gore/B Clinton, Dems offer Edwards/Feingold
Obviously, it's not gonna happen, but imagine this: The republicans run people who are qualified, AND the democrats run people who are qualified, and ALL candidates are people who will work for the betterment of America as a whole, not parts of it, not compared to other countries, not at the expense of anyone else: but people who care about ALL of America AND the world.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to have to seriously consider ALL candidates before going to the polls? Wouldn't it be wonderful to have difficulty choosing who to vote for, because you know they're all worthy?

I think it would be wonderful. Whether it's the people I mentioned above or not (there's another 20 that I'm sure would make brilliant presidents), I just want to see a day when the choice is difficult, and not "Okay, on this hand, a guy who will fuck up the country, shred the constitution, destroy freedom, and gain the world's hatred and leave the country in far worse shape than he/she inherited it; or, on this hand, someone who won't, but will be forever hamstrung by people from the other guy's party".
