if you could live in any U.S. state
and you didn't have to worry about money, jobs, missing loved ones, living too close to in-laws - what state would you live in?

I know I'm not the only one thinking Hawai'i...

part of Oregon... I've got to look. When Mt. St. Helen's blew up the first time, my family in Salem, Oregon found ashes on the car parked outside but that's all.

59. Well, have you tried to get a place to live there? There is a limit to money is no object.
Edited on Sun Feb-04-07 05:45 PM by Neshanic
I did when I was offered a job there. The prices make New York look sane.

The most insane and bizzare questions that someone would be asked to live in a converted garage, cook in a mocrowave, and use the bathroom in the main house.

"Does your car have dents? Big ones?"
"How many friends would you approximately have come over in one summer to visit?"
"Do you work during the weekends? We value our space, and do not want the tennant being around alot."
"We have a certain type of person living in complex(very small complex), so I do not think the truck will be allowed."(This coming from a landlord of a mid-century modern building with pink grecian urns lining the parking lot.
"How big is your truck? I do not want to see it from my kitchen."

It is nice though...

Although if cost were no object and I could live anywhere at all, I'd far rather live in London or Amsterdam than anywhere in the States.

21. I have no idea
Right this second it is too friggin cold for me to make a rational decision. I don't think I could move out of the North East though. I don't particularly like it where it is hot and I love having all 4 seasons.

Though I guess I'd be happy living anywhere as long as it was with the right person. :)

terrain/environment, much like California does...there are some parts of Cali that remind me of Alaska, yet there are very hot/tropical climates in Cali...the differences in those environments, is what makes a state beautiful/nice to me. Alaska is the same way, plus its my homestate, so of course I'm totally biased....:D
