Believe it or not, this was actually a concept created by Ford. AutoWeek magazine claims that this hideous metal box could have cost their former CEO his job.

I shudder to think that people would buy such a horrid looking thing. But then again, ugly cars do sell.

5. I think it looks kinda cool, for a marionette's car.

There are lot's of vehicles in current production that are much uglier.

The Avalanche. Any of the Hummers. The Aztek. The Chevy Impala. The Ford Taurus. All quite hideous.

Of course, I loved all the cars in the Wacky Races cartoons, particularly Penelope Pitstop's, so you can't judge by my taste! :-)

BTW, I happen to like the Aztek. It is an incredibly well designed car, no matter what you may think, it was designed by a Frenchwoman (one of the few female designers employed by the big three) and has a rabid cult following...so there! :P

I read the article while waiting at the dentist's office. And I came home to seek it out.

I thought it was kind of a weird idea for a concept car. Looks like that car Homer Simpson designed that bankrupted his brother's car company.
