10. No, not at all
I could characterize this video in several ways but taking cheap shots at my country is not something i find funny, in any way.

Dont forget, YOU are included in that lynching, not just Bush! Hes only been in office for 3 years yet the video, and apparantly some folks here at DU, arent at all offended the US itself is the target of their hatred, not just bush!

No thanks,

American and very proud of it

8. I don't know
I found it both funny and informative. It's interesting to see how other countries seem to be saying the same things about our bullying (if you call CIA backed coups and official military and economic intimidation bullying). Why can't many Americans put themselves in the shoes of the people in other countries and imagine how they'd feel toward American aggression.

Also the chorus reminds me of that song Berserker from Clerks! Great stuff!

2. Screw North Korea
I can't support any nuclear proliferators.

Bush morphing into the devil is pretty funny, but Kim is an unrepentent, totalitarian, commie bastard.

7. It is funny in a sick sort of way
Interesting that they couldn't find any translation in their language for the "F-word".

Also look at the cultural borrowing from the west (the cartoons, the rock music, etc.)

I kind of like the morph job of Bush into Dracula, it's been done but not as nicely.

11. I think this was sort of tongue in cheek
I don't think any country feels that the principles of America are bad. I think that they find us hypocritical and dangerous. I can't say that I can blame them for feeling that way.

who's been brainwashed with years of anti-US propaganda (analogy anyone?) but my first reaction was defense of my country. Not laughter.

Im getting irritated with that lately...

It's not North Korean video. It's Japanese video of a North Korean broadcast. Japanese news media have a presence in North Korea, so it would be easy for them to capture this.

24. The description on the webiste is inaccurate
The narration is in Japanese and explains that this is not a song WRITTEN in North Korea. It was actually written in SOUTH Korea as a protest against U.S. presence there. (Of course! I thought it sounded too "rock" for North Korea, which tends toward martial or sentimental music. Also, the U.S. is not in any sense "in" North Korea, so it wouldn't make sense to have them asking non-existent Yankees to go home. )The North Koreans picked it up and broadcast it on their TV.

Evidently the clip is from a Japanese program (unidentified) telling about the South Korean song that the North Koreans adopted for their own purposes.

I'm not familiar with the Korean Olympic medal complaint, so to me it just sounds like Limbaugh-style "blame everything on your opponent" stuff.

"They made my vegetables go bad! FUCKING USA!... They made my car's alternator go out! FUCKING USA!"

gymnastics, speed skating, and judo.

They were angry when the Olympics were held in Seoul in 1988, even though the Olympic committee kept telling them that the Games are awarded to cities, not to countries.

39. Kim Jong Il is not N. Korea
I am astonished that many members on this board actually think the video reflects the opinions of the N. Korean PEOPLE and not just that fascist Kim Jong II.

Obviously, no video of this type would ever be made in N. Korea without the instigation and approval of Kim Jong II. The N. Korean people have no say or any influence. We cannot possibly know what they actually think. I suspect they are too busy digging up insects, shrub and bark for food (while Kim spends billions on nuclear weapons plants) to give a shit about Bush one way or the other.

However, there is absolutely no way for us to ever know what the N. Korean people actually feel and think so long as they are the personal toy of the "Dear Leader".

I'm shocked to read posts on DU advocating "nuking North Korea" and so forth. We're supposed to be against the use of WMDs against civilian populations. We're the good guys, remember?

Advocating conditional peace isn't advocating peace at all--it's an agenda of force.

N Korea's not all that friendly toward us, and hasn't been, but Bush* went out of his way to rile tensions, not forgetting the vile "pygmy" comment.

They're all nuts...

I'm saddened by the one-sided posts here, especially the pro-America ones:

America needs to be the mature entity. It's only shown it's as immature as everybody else but has bigger weapons and prefers to use them at every opportunity, even if it takes a pack of contrived lies in order to use them. :eyes:
