In Texas, where I live, it's much cheaper than up in Mass. for instance. It also depends on the quality. Hydro is way expensive. There's good medium priced and there's cheap crap. You have to know your source.

This is why weed should be legal though. We wouldnt have people getting beat down over a crop, or getting sent to prison and becoming hardened criminals. By some estimates it is the largest cash crop in north america, and its totally unregulated. I'm sure if someone did the math, the government and the taxpayer would come out way ahead if it was legalized.

pros:
-hundreds of thousands of people not in jail
-police no longer spend any money to bust smokers/growers and freeing up border patrol to look for terrorists
-governments can tax the sale
-violence and organized crime associated with distribution vanishes

cons(to business):
-pharma will lose millions as patients grow their own medicine for next to nothing
-private prison industry growth is stalled
-liquor and beer industry experiences loss of sales due to people liking weed effects better than alcohol (translates into less DWI and alcohol offenses, which is very good, weed causes only a tiny fraction of automobile accidents compared to alcohol)
