1. I miss Ernest.
My boys loved him while growing and it seems every year for my birthday I was taken out to a new Ernest movie.

2. I had an idea for an Ernest movie once.
It was called "Ernest Goes to Hell," and was an adaptation of Dante's Inferno. Gailard Sartain would play Satan. It would have been magical.

I loved those awful movies as a child. I remember seeing "Ernest Goes to Jail" in the theater. And Jim Varney was great as Jed Clampett in that "Beverly Hillbillies" movie.

Oh, when we are young we have such undiscriminating tastes.

4. Billy Bob made a movie with Jim Varney in it, which was never released
but it is going to be released soon. JV's last film.
