What movie/TV family does your own family most resemble?
By that I mean personality/functionality-wise...I have to say mine (parents and siblings) are frighteningly similar to the Cosbys on a good day, and on all others we are undeniably the Klumps (from The Nutty Professor). :D

The fact that we aren't African-American is, I'm sure, only an accident of nature. ;)

How 'bout you?

1. can't think of one
I don't think there's ever been a family like mine on tv. We're too dull to draw viewers. :D

4. Steel Magnolias depicted my aunts/mother accurately
and a good deal of my childhood was built around 9 women gathered together for hair, food, and gossip...
add a dash or 12 of Fried Green Tomatoes and you have my entire first 30 years of life.

13. "Bob and Margaret"
I didn't even have to think about that one. Every episode, we remark on how eerily like them we are.

Do you guys get "Bob and Margaret" in the US?

23. Sad to say, Mad About You, pre-baby
Edited on Tue Jan-06-04 01:44 AM by markses
As for movie, we're any typical "happy couple" (cue soft melodic music) living a completely ordinary urban life that's about to be rocked by our un-fortuitous encounter with (cue fast but mild techno track):
faintly European terrorists
Jamaican drug gangs
duplicitous greedy colleagues
a family secret-so-dark-it-should-have-been-kept-in-the-sealed-trunk
crooked cop harrassment
an ancient curse
ghosts
a tidal wave
giant spiders
a plague of locusts
alien invasion
a red-headed temptress with a mysterious and menacing background
a secret society in search of magical artifact with world-shattering powers
a Colombian cartel
burglars
escaped convicts
giant murderous dogs
a ten-year-old orphan with an evil wit and adorable dimples
Identity thieves
Carter Hayes
A band of killer computer hackers

Will we overcome these horrors? (Cue explosion)
Will we unite in our love and care for family? (Cue longing glance across a field of dead villians)
Or will it destroy us? (End music. Fade to black. Cue promo date.)

Coming to theaters. March 2004.
