I must admit, there are days when I scare the hell out of myself the
first time I look in the mirror. But that's what's great about getting older. You can let the crazed vanity go, and learn to be comfortable with yourself. What I mean is plastic surgery aside, very few of us are gonna end up looking like Sofia Loren in the twilight years. Contrary to what you see on tv and the movies, aging is a natural step. The alternative is not aging, which is death.

but come on, some people age MUCH MORE BADLY than others. The ones that catch my eye are the ones who TRY TO STAY YOUNG. It just draws so much more attention to the fact that they are NOT young.

that's exactly the way I perceive this, but I couldn't find the right words.
On the other hand, I 100% agree with Immanuel Kant, who stated that our ears are the "moral" sense organ, while our eyes are barbaric. Makes still sense to me.

What will happen to all these young people growing up with Hollywood Films, if one day they should see some real breasts????

Hello from Germany,

Donna Douglas aged poorly. Yeah, she's old now but she aged badly before getting "old."

Ryan O'Neal...I didn't even recognise him, at first, from a bonus clip from the American Wedding DVD.

24. Amen, sister!
Sometimes I don't like looking younger because, for example, I'm only 31 and my daughter's 11, so I was pretty young when I had her to begin with. Then add to that that she's tall and looks 14 and people think I'm still in my mid-20's most of the time, so generally means it looks like I had a baby when I was 12.

That being said, I'm still glad I look young. :)

58. She's ABC-affiliate, WLS Radio Chicago right-wing whore Terri O'Brien
You really have to tune in and hear her show once to get a true idea of why she's hated. Here are some links to their site about her:

http://community.wlsam.com/community/scripts/thread.pl

http://community.wlsam.com/community/scripts/thread.pl

Here's a link to her page. http://wlsam.com/showdj.asp?DJID=14437

Check out her weblinks. Here a few "interesting" ones...

1. Are teachers underpaid? Not when you compare their total compensation and working hours to other professionals.

2. Even before her hearing, Senator Durbin (aka Eddie Haskell) is 'very concerned' about the 'conservative activism' of Justice Janice Rogers Brown and has stated his opposition to her confirmation, putting him squarely in line with People for the American Way and other left-wing groups who call her 'a Female Clarence Thomas,' and who are responsible for this fine cartoon.

3. If you agree with me that social studies should be about how American government works, the rights and responsibilities (with a capital 'R') of citizens and how our forefathers sacrificed to create a system that is the envy of the world rather than the vehicle for some teacher's ideologically-driven pet social engineering agenda, this is the site for you. If you interact with your child's teacher, or any teacher--if we're going to rid schools of this multicultural baloney,we've all got to roll up our sleeves, right?--use the "Six Questions to Ask on Back to School Night" as a starting point. I'm afraid we're going to see some squirming in some rooms with little tiny desks. . .

4. Scheduled to open in November 2004, the official Clinton library (LIE-brary) will no doubt be a hall of propaganda. In the meantime, check out the website dedicated to the REAL Clinton legacy. The GAO report on the destruction by the departing Clintonistas is especially interesting.

5. A graphical analysis of the hilarious drivel spewed by America-hating columnist (L.A.Times, The Nation) Robert Scheer leading up to the war in Iraq. Each cliche is tracked week by week and defined in Scheer-speak. Includes quotes from this stellar light of the Left. This gibberish will leave you howling.

Need I say more?

I need "work"....and I have decided that if I get the money, I will have a mini-facelift (no cat eyes). It's not really vanity - it's the face that I look tired, but I don't feel tired. I think you understand.

with his hair. Jet black dye. Just makes him look older. Not one of those men, and there are many, who get better looking as they age. Burt Lancaster knew how to age gracefully. Look at how wonderful he looked in "Atlantic City". And Lloyd Bridges and James Coburn. They looked their age; but they looked good. Paul Newman is another guy who always looks his age...but always looks great.

27. Uma Thurman
I've always loved Uma, but she hit the wall pretty hard somewhere since Pulp Fiction. She was really distracting in Paycheck. I'm about her age and she looks about as worn as I do but ... she's a movie star. Seems like they would be able to cover up the huge bags under her eyes a bit more effectively.

I think Thurman's stylist in Paycheck should be shot...that said...I don't think she's aging badly at all. Everyone wore too much bronzer in that film but when you get to your 30s you either start getting lines or you start getting work done. Looked like to me that since she was playing an older part (scientist) it made sense to hold off on the Botox. She was also supposed to be older and out of a coma in Kill Bill -- I didn't see that one, just the previews, again it seemed to me that any little lines just added to the character.

I'm sure they've all been removed by now...

She's in a Disney kids show of late and she looks like a suburban mom with a good make-up person. Putting on some weight seemed to help her.

She never looked real great without a lot of experienced make-up people.

Overall, not bad for 70, but she looks like she's had some bad plastic surgery that's left her with a weird looking pull or dimple on one side of her face she never had before.

Also, has anyone seen Nancy Sinatra lately? They must have hired on a squad of heavy duty airbrushers when she did that Playboy spread a few years ago.

What makes these women think that pumped up lips are attractive? Meg Ryan has just made a mess of herself.

59. I wished Kim Novak would have done something with that strand of hair.
She had a strand of her hair on the right side of her face.

70. Maybe not badly, but Richard Dreyfuss is aging FAST!!!!!
He is only 2 years older than me, but he looks as if he is 65 or 70. I don't.

My god, if I had the best makeup artists in Hollywood at my disposal, I wouldn't deliberately look 20 years older than my age. What is with him???
