A child is waiting
Edited on Mon Jan-05-04 08:18 PM by listenup
A mother pats her tummy and says "he kicked me!"
she acts as though it bothers her immensely.
How much closer to the beginning we see we are
when we have inside of us or our loved one
a soon to be baby.
I see pride in her eyes, though she complains
"I've gained so much weight and have inexplicable pains!"
but still through it all, love remains
she's having a soon to be baby.
"I wish he'd be born and be done with this thing!"
she says, knowing the laughter the words will bring
We all know when the child breaks free - bells will ring
and the angels with pride and joy will sing
a soon to be baby
is born.

From Listenup's head to virtual paper

any newborn poetry out there you would care to share?

edited: maybe just a story about pregnancy or newbirth? A one liner?
