Just back from an anti Bush protest in St Louis

and FEEL GREAT!!!

It's about 15 degrees outside with the windchill and the turnout was around 1500 people protesting the proposed cuts in overtime pay. People must be upset because it's hard to get turnout in St Louis on the nicest of days (especially on a WEEKDAY!). I think this is the coldest day of the winter and there were 1500 people there chanting and holding signs.

AWESOME!!!!

I love the energy surrounding the event. A bunch of people gathered for a common cause, protecting overtime pay.

The ironic thing: I just found out I got another job and it is a salaried position! I have worked on the overtime pay issue for the past year and my new job is exempt!

4. An odd sight to see was the number of cops

to protect Bush and the rich Republicans paying $20,000 a plate for dinner from a bunch of people greeting one another with hugs.

You know what I like about these demos? I get to see, even if for only a few minutes, people I haven't seen in a long time.

Someone had a sign that said
Bush Lied
Troops Died

There were some KUCINICH folks out there! Yeah for them!!!
