Hi. I'm Critters and I'm a Luddite

I admit it, to my deep shame. I don't own a digital camera. Or a phone camera. My sister got a digital for Christmas two years ago, and the damn manual was 150 pages long! 150 pages of instructions to operate a CAMERA!!! Well, I border on technophobia, so I decided then and there that until they make those things as easy to operate as a low tech camera, I can do without.

So, that explains the dearth of pics around here of me and the critters. When I really need pics of things, I use an old fashioned 35mm. And when those pics need to be downloaded, uploaded, etc, I go to Walgreens and have 'em put on a disk.

I am a Luddite. I'd be Amish if they didn't make me wear dresses all the time.

but I have a digital camera. They are very easy to use. Point and click and then plug it in to your computer. I guess if you read the instruction book, then you can program them to do your laundry too, but I have not gotten that far. They don't have a plug-in that works with a washboard anyway.

I admit to being heart-broken though, because I really wanted to see a picture of you in a dress :hide:

I get my luddite cred by not flying, not owning a car, not having a microwave or a clothes dryer, and not using my dishwasher. I was late to the internets too, but now I am hooked. Same with my ipod. Ipods rock, but I still have not figured out how to get mine to do my taxes.

I have a car, a microwave and a clothes dryer. Like you, I don't use my dishwasher, and was also late to the internets. But I don't have an ipod. Yet.

i want one -- but i can barely turn on the computer.

tech just doesn't make SENSE to me.
not in a philosophical sense -- i mean i don't get it -- even the simplest stuff.

my cell phone is a plain old cingular with no photo features.

sigh -- i hate it sometimes.
