Man Leggings - the Hot New Fashion for Men. Pretty Cute.

I just saw this this morning. Man leggings - made of wool and cotton - and worn outside. Its the latest thing for men. I will try to find a picture so you can see just how sexy and stylish these new leggings are.

Why? you might ask. Because they are so comfortable - way more comfortable than pants.

And (I did not know this) many men are already wearing them around home - kind of a new liesure wear thing.

Men used to wear leggings - back quite a ways. Wore them with cute little boots and leather codpieces. I certainly hope that codpieces are not the next new trend.

I did find one whole discussion about this over on Freeperville - one man said he would kill his son with his bare hands if he caught him wearing these. He probably says the same thing about ballet.

1. I have something very similar ...

it's called "thermal underwear". Comfortable to wear around the house or the hunting camp. Other than that, I don't consider them as "outerwear".

Maybe when I lose a few pounds (or more) ... maybe.

As far as the codpiece, well, I have a protective cup in a jock. I suppose I could wear that outside of my longjohns. But not in public, I don't want to get arrested.

Do the leggings have pockets? gotta have somewhere to put the wallet, keys, change, etc. Or is that another function of the codpiece?

I belong to a medieval re-enactment group, and let me tell ya, men in tights (or as we call them "trunk hose") can be a good thing. Confidence is always sexy, and it takes a confident man to run around in tights and a codpiece. Same thing for Scot kilts.

Remember, some of the greatest minds and military types in the Rennaissance wore them.

But watch out. As TJ said on "Gilmore Girls" some seasons back: "for all the good points about tights, and there are a lot, they don't have pockets."

"No matter how many times the guy from NASA described the garment of the future, it still sounded like long underwear to us."

Or something like that. I don't doubt that these leggings are comfortable and practical. Probably easy to manufacture, too.

I'm old school and frankly, it will be a desperate day in hell before I would be caught wearing a pair of them.

Never understood the "metro-sexual" thing and to me this strikes me as a very bizarre offshoot of that trend.

To me this reeks of someone somewhere had and overstock of large and extra large sizes of these things and decided it would be the new "look" for men.
