Steelers name Mike Tomlin as head coach.

I think he'll be a good fit. Young guy (34), defensive coaching experience, gets on well with the players.

1. It's an interesting pick, and totally in character with their previous
picks for head coach. I admit to being a little surprised that it didn't go to Whisenhunt or Grimm, but I think Tomlin will be a good match.

3. Not too sure.
I believe Ken Whisenhunt took the head coaching spot with the Cardinals, though.

4. Too soon to tell. I think he has another year on his contract.
Keep in mind that the Steelers have not yet made the official announcement. The Post-Gazette article is not coming straight from the Steelers, at least not officially.

I think with the Bears winning today, the Steelers probably are negotiating with someone this evening - they're not going to wait two more weeks to talk to Rivera. So far it's only educated speculating about Tomlin.
