That's my worst-case scenario.

Same result as what, when the Bears destroyed them in 1986 or when the Patriots crushed the Bears this season?

IMO, the guy's knee was on the ground before the ball was out of his hands. Not sure about all of the rules regarding this, though.

49. As a Seahawk fan, a question
On that third down before the end of the game, it seemed like Hasselbeck could have run to the right and picked up four or five yards. Instead, he stood there like an idiot, got sacked, and put them out of FG range. Sorry to bring that up, but it bugs me that he blew it. The whole right side of the field was open for several yards, and, at worst, he could have run outside the tackles and thrown the ball away. The Seahawks had them! :argh:
Did Seahawks fans already beat this to death last week? Or were there other problems?

76. You're right- Hasselbeck had

an opportunity to gain some yards and he blew it.

There was a lot of grumbling on the fan boards after the game.
We were all wondering what happened out there.

I love the guy, but Hasselbeck's hesitations and indecisions are
costing him and the team way too much.

Hopefully, this can be corrected by next season.

71. No sour grapes..just an observation.
Worthlessburger won the Superbowl with a 22.7 rating (really, the Steelers only managed 4 quality plays. It was enough, but certainly not impressive), and this year proved his inneffectiveness. Mark my words, this is the pinnacle for Grossman as well.

86. that's a stupid statement
Rex isn't by any means overrated.

Most seem to think he's a complete waste. I don't agree. I think he's young and still makes the mistakes of a young qb. However, he really put together some solid throws in this game when the Bears needed it.

Grossman might not be great, but HE WINS GAMES. That's more than you can say about virtually any Bears QB in the last 20 years.

exhale. Breathe in, exhale. They did it!

I'm gonna make all my students watch the Super Bowl Shuffle tomorrow in retaliation for all the crap they gave me last week.

85. hehe...
I have a DVD of that as well.

One of my Grandmother's most favorite pictures is a huge panoramic picture of the entire Superbowl XX Bears team with each of their signatures.

She won it at an auction if I can recall.

92. It's getting real interesting now!
Nice runback from the Pats. But the Colts are sure determined to keep them from scoring a touchdown.
