6. Define "dated", please.
Cuz "dated" used to mean "dated"....
but these last few years, it seems to get
used as a euphemism for "had sex with".

Different.

66. It's amazing how life can have nice suprises for us
if we're just willing to be ourselves. I look back on all the missed opportunities I've had and there are to many to count. Those are the regrets in life I've had to work hard to get over. Yes, to miss a connection like it appears that you two have would've been terrible.

Age is just a number. The biggest things you have to worry about with someone else is:

A.) Do have some common interests that you share and enjoy?

B.) Can you stand being around each other for more than a couple of hours? I.E. Do you actually like each other?

PEACE!

Ghost

I would now consider dating someone as old as 46. Mostly because there's a 46 year old I've known for a while who I could see myself with (at least once, that is).

Everyone else has been within a couple of years of my age...I find if it gets more than about 5 years we don't have a lot in common in terms of cultural references and there usually just isn't that spark.

The reallly weird part is most of the time I don't ask their age at first...but when I do, they always end up being within a couple of years of me.

76. 60 years or so, but really, nothing happened.
Even though I think she told her friends it did.

I was a handsome young lad of twenty, and she needed someone's arm to hold.

She took me to some pretty amazing places.

I didn't take her money because it wouldn't be right.

She found another kid who would take money.

"Compensated dating..." is that what they call it? I always wondered...

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

84. 22 years
much older guy

Our 40 yo friend R is dating a 23 yo, and my SO asked "what does she see in him?"

I said "he's done whoring around. Guys her own age aren't into relationships (especially in NYC) and think they should be doing a different girl every night. The attractive ones treat women like shit. R was like that when he was in his 20s. At this point, though, he's not into running around, and wants a relationship, and THAT'S what she sees in him." Been there myself.

87. Eight years younger
It did not work out well. It was when I was in my late twenties and we just wanted different things out of life at those ages.

88. 7 seems to be the magic number for me

I dated someone seven years younger some years back, and now I have a crush on someone seven years older.

89. 14 years
I was 16, he was 30 (I lied and told him I was 18). It was okay, but I dumped him when he started getting weird. The youngest person I ever dated was only 2 years younger than me.
