Looking for a sailboat, repo is ok
50 ft, metal or ferrocement hull, inexpensive or donate or repo for a non-profit HIV/Aids education group. Anyone have 1 they'd like to donate? I know, fat chance but you just never know.

2. Environmental fines? for the boat? or for the cargo?
A fine just seems like adding insult to injury.

3. Fines for boat on reef damage, update just came in.
"Looks like the international community of HIV organizations as well as the national Belizian organizations have significantly pressured the Belize government for leniency and we will be able to leave the country and work with them once their assessment is complete. I will continue on to Nicaragua, without the boat, and with the rest of our equipment in tow for the program. Monday I'll send out a new press release and let everyone know that things are now favorable - thanks again for the well wishes! "

Grassroots activism is great. So, looks like no boat, but some equipment slavaged and reduced fines probably. They travel down thru central America doing HIV education, small non-profit doing good things. Thanks for the interest.

4. The fine sounds like total bullshit
Nice to hear that Belize is getting pressure for leniency. It isn't like the boat was intentionally used as a tool for vandalizing the reef.

I'd hate to see what the fine would be if you pounded on the reef with your skulls, sheesh! :sarcasm:

Good luck on your tour.
