I have finished putting together my bookcases.
Now is time for a nice cold beer, and some ribs which are now finished in the oven.

3. Congratulations
There's something so satisfying about filling up new bookcases. My SO built me a set last year for my birthday - large enough to fit my entire collection of history books - about 300 volumes. It was so wonderful to place them all in there after having them scattered about and some of them in boxes for years. I still go into the room where they are sometimes and just gaze at them or lovingly touch the bindings.

Enjoy the beer and ribs. :toast:

yum yum

I've got a few too many bookcases actually. But lots of books so I either get rid of the books, or keep the cases.

Books have a way of making more books behind you back.

I have given up the battle.

7. That's Funny
they do have a way of making more behind your back don't they!

It's not a battle I fight. I need a bookcase in the living room I think.

Are these the ones from Big Lots?

I used my toaster radio today. The funny thing was when I turned on the radio it was playing a gospel station? It took me a minute to figure out that it has a seek station button instead of a tuning dial.

Found another station, the gospel thing was freaking me out. For a minute I thought maybe it only played gospel stations LOL

9. Your toaster has a mind of it own.
Your will have to watch it from now on.

I am sure ya'll have a lot of gospel stations up there, we do here.

I bought the 3 bookcases from Big Lots, the fake wood kind but they look nice with a oak finish.

I am going back a to get the multi-media bookcase for DVD, CD, videotape.

I could fill that up right now.

It would be great to to have all my video and audio in one place.

yes my toaster has a mind of it's own. It may start telling me other things?

Having all of your CD's and video in one place is always good.

Hope your ribs were good!

the only thing that is a flood risk for my neighborhood is the ancient sewer system that is being redone, but has apparently flooded people's houses and the city doesn't believe they have any responsibility to pay for damages.

When I have the time I will make a folding bookcase out of 2x2's.

I have all the boards but no time to build it. Target has one for over $200.

I can build one a lot cheaper.
