I lost someone very special yesterday morning...

He was my cousin Mike. And he was my friend. He was one of the sweetest, most humble people I've ever known. Life really dealt him crap, and he always pushed on trying to make a better life for his two young kids, always smiling. He woke up yesterday morning, stepped out of the shower, and collapsed dead of a massive coronary. He was 42 years old. I feel lost, and sick now. Nothing makes any sense anymore.

Thanks, I just needed somewhere to vent the rage and confusion I'm feeling now.

And I need for God to explain why, so God, if you're reading this, I'm listening...

6. He was staying at his mothers house.

He was helping to take care of her. Up in northern Ohio, right on the lake. I'm scared now because he was only 2 years older than me, and he was in about the same physical shape as I am. I'm making an appointment with a cardiologist on Monday.

They were divorced some time back, it was pretty nasty. I feel terrible for them, they are cool little kids.

I don't know if this is the right thing to say, but when I lost my grandmother two years ago (unexpected, still unexplained death) it helped me to conclude that sometimes there is no why.
