Quebec woman, world's oldest person, dies at 115

A Quebec woman believed to be the world's oldest person has reportedly died at the age of 115.

The world record for the oldest person was set by Frenchwoman Jeanne Calment, who died in 1997 at the age of 122.

She was 8 years old when the world celebrated New Years Day in 1900. She was 11 when the first airplane took to the North Carolina skies. 16 when Ford rolled the first Model T off the assembly line. She watched people leave the horse, leave the ground, and then leave the planet. She was in her 40's when the Depression was raging and FDR was president, and was already in her 50's by the time WW2 ended. When the hippies were getting stoned in the Haight in '69, she was already a 76 year old retiree.
