How Long Did You Date Your SO Before You Learned her Last Name?
Me? Third date.

Honey, what's your last name anyway?

She very nearly killed me.

1. Crickets....
What? Am I the only one who's dated somebody, and not bothered with last names?

2. After a few dates
I find it's very common for me to go a few dates with someone before I find out that info.
At that early stage, is last name really all that important?

3. My thoughts exactly!
is it worth spending brain cells to memorize somebody's last name, if you're not sure where the relationship is leading?

5. There are more important questions to ask!
Than what his last name is!

7. True enough,
the question is how do you gracefully backtrack, when you realize the other person really is worth getting to know?

8. I am very straight forward.
I would just ask them straight up---HEY, what's your last name?

Usually, though on the first few dates, I like to play the question game.

Where we go back and forth asking each other questions.
Usually, the last name question pops up during one of those rounds.

4. LOL
i think it's pretty common. I went on a vacation with a friend who was determined to send her bf postcards. Turned out she had no idea what his address was nor his last name. she ended up having to email her ex to call the new bf to have him email her (she didn't know his email either)

6. The hard part is broaching the subject,
Hey, sweetie pie, you seem to be a really kick ass person.

I think you're worth spending a few brain cells to get some background information.

So, what's your last name, ethnic background, and place of origin?

:yoiks:
