Any soapmakers here?
I was wondering if anybody knew the best place to find palm oil or coconut oil?

2. Camden Grey's online site is excellent.
At the bottom of the homepage is a link to a soap makers forum. Camden Grey carries all soap making products as well as essential oils and herbs.

3. I am looking for the best place to buy bulk oils,
not the essential oils. I looked through Camden Grey but may have missed it. I'll go look again. You would think I could find it in a grocery store here but so far no luck. Thanks for the site referral.

Have you checked out a health food store? I've ordered organic flax seed in bulk for my horse from a local health food co-op.

BTW, I grew up in Chattanooga, TN. Are you an east, middle or west Tennessean? :hi:

7. I'm a Middle TN'er,
but grew up an East-TN'er. My aunt lives in Chattanooga so I go down there a good bit. It has changed a lot and has a nice downtown area now. Where are you now?

8. I'm in Athens, GA. now. I love it here. Chattanooga has changed a lot...
for the better! When we moved there in the late 196os it was very polluted and had terrible racial problems. I went off to college in 1981 thinking that I would never to return to such a boring place. Looking back though, it was a pretty good place to grow up. I lived on one of the mountains but it was only a 20 minute drive to get downtown. Surprisingly, it has become a great mid-sized city! The museums, the aquarium and the riverwalk-greenways are awesome! The downtown and the riverfront are really vibrant and the new parks are wonderful!
