When it doesn't rain it pours

There's never a good time for unforseen misadventure but sometimes are just worse than others. We're in the middle of moving house, selling the old one, looking for a second job, etc., ad nauseum. Just emotionally stressful, financially stressful and exhausting. This morning a trip to McD's for breakfast ended up costing over $400. Doggy wanted to ride along, and happily jumped into the back of the Liberalmobile and promptly bounced right back and fell onto the garage floor. :cry: We ended up spending most of today in the veterinary ER and Poochie has a broken leg. Good news is that she's comfortably doped up, casted from ankle to armpit (legpit?) and sleeping peacefully here at my feet. Bad news is the x-rays still need to be read by a radiologist and she might need surgical repair.

I know in the grand scheme of things my dog's broken leg isn't earth shattering but if you've got some spare good vibes and/or hugs, we could sure use them.
