People are fucked up
I was with my brother, going to the car to get some things out of it from the grocery store.

My brother is undergoing radiation on his BRAIN and chemo, along with a cocktail of other assorted drugs.

He let loose a monstrously huge fart that could be heard for blocks.

A guy drove up, put his window down, and asked (while I saw his girlfriend in the passenger seat laughing) where the fart museum was. He thought he was being cute, and my brother thought he had asked where the art museum in the area was. My brother just simply told him no, he didn't know; not from the area.

I went up to the window, looked at the laughing girlfriend, and asked if they always get a kick out of making fun of people who are dying from brain cancer. The cute, but retarded girlfriend stopped smirking, and the driver just took off.

People are fucked up. I keep my optimism and hope going, but these type of interactions piss me off.

peace.

1. In fairness, how would they know your brother is dying from brain cancer?
It was a fart joke. I doubt there was much malice to it beyond that.

2. The parking lot is a place for

people with cancer, and their families, to stay. Next door is another building. It is the building that houses children with cancer and their families. On the other side is a building that is a cancer research center. The other buildings in the area are all dedicated to cancer research and treatment. It is not on the "beaten" track, and not in a residential area. It is four buildings away from the largest cancer treatment center in the entire state.

I don't know why anyone would be just cruising around that area and feeling the need to make fart jokes.

5. thanks
I just am worn out, and don't need things like that. I'm a little overprotective, maybe. We are going to be taking him home after treatments, and it's been a hellacious past few months, especially considering that I am not at my best.

Maybe I need to remember my tolerance levels.

I didn't know I would have access to the internet tonight, or after this night for awhile, but have capitalized on it.

peace!

8. This story sounds embellished to me, as though it's a stand-up bit.
"A monstrously huge fart that could be heard for blocks." :wow: ???

And the "cute but retarded girlfriend..." ????

I'm not questioning whether your brother has brain cancer, and I obviously wish him the best.

But I mean come on...how do you expect others to react to others passing loud gas in public?

It's disgusting.

While these people didn't have to be as juvenile in their comments, you can't expect them (and others) to have telepathic powers.

12. "put his window down"
how can the offensive person hear a fart in another car, while his window is down?

doesn't make much sense.

cars are virtually sound proof.
