Eegads I feel just awful!

On my way home from work an hour or so ago...there were some cows out on the road a few miles from my house.
I couldn't reach my cellphone so I figured I would just call the Sheriff's Office when I got home.
However, when I got home...it totally slipped my mind because of kids and dogs, etc...no other excuse really.
About 30 minutes ago, emergency vehicles went screeching out that way.:(
I went to go look and sure enough...someone hit the cows.:cry:
I don't know if anyone was hurt or if I could have even stopped it...but it sure makes me feel terrible.:(

1. Just an update

Apparently the owner of the cows was rounding them up (so there was no need for the phone call.)I don't feel any better about the outcome though.
An 18-wheeler came barreling through (it was dark) and ran over the man who was on his tractor rounding up the cows.
His funeral is tomorrow.:(
