Happy Birthday to Graham Chapman
who, even dead, is funnier than many living comedians.

1. Hear, hear!
:hi: :bounce: :toast: I saw him at UNC-Chapel Hill in 1988. He was doing the college tour thing not long after he found out he had cancer. He was even funnier then than on the show, and he answered any questions people asked. :D RIP, Graham! And happy birthday posthumously!!!!

4. His ashes appeared at the US Comedy Arts festival in 1998
where they were accidentally kicked over by Terry Gilliam.

yes, even dead, he's funny.

6. I saw his urn in '91 at the Aspen Comedy Festival.
I think it was Palin that knocked it over then.

2. RIP to one of the comedic greats.
Thank you for being part of what I consider to be the most important comedy show of the modern era and for being as strong as you could through your struggles. Alcoholism is a bitch and it isn't fair that the great minds often get taken by it.

I'll remember you when I watch my Christmas Present of Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

3. You're right

And I'd forgotten that today was his birthday, too (along with Elvis, David Bowie, and the PM of Japan, among others). He was a classic, another gone too soon.

EDIT: just realized that they're all connected -- David Bowie and the Japanese dude are Elvis fans and Elvis was a huge fan of Monty Python and watched Holy Grail over and over and over and over and.... :D
