Narcanon and Narcotics Anonymous ARE NOT Related!

It pisses me off no end to see someone passing off that they are the same thing.

There is absolutely no relationship between Narcotics Anonymous and ANY organization.

Narcanon on the other hand is related to Scientology.

Please get facts straight before posting stuff that isn't true.

2. I think it's a deceptive name wrought by the

Scientologists to coerce addicts to go to their rehab. Been to the website and it sounds like a brain washing encampment.

I think they are deceptively similar for their own reasons, but I'm absolutely sure

Nar-anon is for family members and those who care about someone with an addiction it is a 12 step program similar in scope to Al anon.

5. Oh, that's what I was thinking of.

Nar-Anon....now I know.

Back in the day - like 20 years ago - I went to a couple of those meetings when my ex was trying to quit coke. I ended up going to Al-Anon
because my mom's an alcoholic and i felt I got more wisdom there. Nar-Anon and NA were just getting started around here and didn't have much
in the way of experience, strength and hope to offer. Most of us ended up in Al-Anon. It was a great help to me.
